A cold mist    in still air
Pulse of traffic   clang of gate    walkers   runners   dogs

Day 58 Wednesday March 3rd

inner southeast 9 minutes
The Drive High Street Little Moor Highbury
A secret pond     an island bench    tucked behind a hazel coppice
Bee hives    quiet in the chill morning
Against the traffic   the birds keep in contact     but little song

Day 59 Thursday March 4th

outer west 1 minute
The Drive Westfield Drive Parker Avenue
Over the wall    snowdrops and crocuses    
push up    through the cold wind

Day 60 Friday March 5th

Sparrows delight   in the hedge     
and a rotted board    in the eaves

Day 61 Saturday March 6th

The Drive
Two runners    two cars          one plane
In the sunshine    a blue tit calls      and a nuthatch responds
Pushed by tree roots         the kerb stones billow down the street

Day 62 Sunday March 7th

 Grandstand Road
Down the hill  down the wind      comes the traffic noise
From nowhere   golden plover lift   a skylark     and then the merlin

Day 63 Monday March 8th

A lark sings  from an unseen perch    somewhere in the rough grass
The squall hits        a chocolate labrador   comes to explore
Crows criss-cross the grassland below me
